Description:

They represent a curved hollow tube (of an oval section flattened in the anteroposterior direction), the anatomical shape of which repeats the bend of the tongue and palate.

It is made of two compatible materials with different properties: internal hard (imparts structural rigidity) and external plastic (prevents damage to teeth).

Airways have a smooth shape, rounded, atraumatic edges and a strengthened bite patch, protecting the airway from biting.

The configuration of the airway helps to ensure the passage of air in the respiratory tract, prevents the tongue lagging and the development of asphyxiation during surgical interventions in conditions of general anaesthesia.
